GSP Half Open
Hello,
For several days now my GSP has only opened in certain spots. I have had no issues over the past several months. I just did a water change and test the water: Nitrates: 10 Phosphate: .1 Calcium 460 Hardness: 10 pH 8.3 While I know that my nitrates should be lower, none of my other corals are showing signs of stress. My montiporas, pulsing xenia, zoos, chalice, and mushrooms are all fine. So is my torch. How long is too long until my GSP start opening all over? |

I am far from an expert but I would check to see if there is way too much flow on them (did you change it or move something in the tank recently like a rock or a coral). If there is debris on them or cyano growing on them. If there are crabs bothering them.

I have few patches of GSP and they sometimes do that. I had one didn't open for days and I thought was dead, then it suddenly opened up. They're hardy coral.
