I'm Confused

Ok so I have a few corals in my tank and for the life of me I can't seem to keep my easy/hardy corals happy! I have a Frogspawn, Galaxea, Branching Hydnophora, Alveopora, Duncan, and a huge rock of Star Polyps. I had a pink birdsnest but gave it to a friend.

Now my issue is the Frogspawn and Galaxea look P.Oed for some reason while my Alveopora, Duncan, Polyps, and Hydnophora are THRIVING! I have tried moving them around the tank to various flow and lighting spots with no response. They do not open as much as they used to. Its been about a week since they last opened up fully.

I have been through the ringer on water parameters so I know those are in check. Only thing I can think of is my snails and crabs tend to hang around them both and thats why they are closed all the time. Is there anything else to try?

I have the temp at 78*F

Give us your water parameters and setup in your tank specifically lighting.

Whenever my Euphyllia start acting up it's my Alkalinity, never fails.

what are your parameters like... my euphyllia do not act right when alkalinity is too low...

I just don't get these corals. The Frogspawn was open about an hour before I left for work and I was gonna post here and say nvm but I just wanted to be on the safe side. I get home and the bugger is closed again. Now neither coral is FULLY closed. They are open but not like they used to be.

What else is in your tank? Do you have shrimp or crabs that may be picking on them? Possibly a fish too if you have an angel or butterfly? Btw nice to see a fellow reefer from baltimore!! Where in baltimore are you located? I live in overlea near the whitemarsh area.

I have 3 fish which I don'e believe are corals nippers, 4 crabs, 5 snails, and a bunch of itty bitty white things all over my glass. ALL of the other corals are fine. Just these 2 being picky......

I'm in Middle River about 5 mins away from Whitemarsh Mall. We are pretty close!

If nothing else the Frogspawn maybe splitting, mine look much smaller while they split.

The itty bitty white things are likely copepods. I own the bill batemans in middle river on compass rd so we are very close!! Lol. Perhaps we can get together and trade corals or just check out one anothers set ups. On topic though, what lights are you running?

Running T5's 1 10,000K and 1 Actinic. All was fine up until I added the Duncan and Polyps.

Made some progress tonight. I believe that the Galaxea wasn't getting enough flow because as my brain always does looks at the bad and not the good. HALF of the Galaxea isn't opened, the other half is...the half getting flow.

The Frogspawn has 2 heads. A big one and a little one. The little one is just reaching for the stars, just so happen it was also the side sticking out and getting flow.

Moved some stuff around and will recheck in the AM.

WHOA! My wife loves getting wings from there and then getting crabs from your neighbors at Vince's. I'm down the street off Bird River RD! Got even closer!

Sounds like it could certainly be a flow issue as youve described it. Let us know if the adjustment made a significant change either way tomorrow. Also we make a good bit of deliveries to bird river road residences so its possible myself, or one of my delivery drivers have brought you and your wife food at some point! In any event if you guys have been in the restaurant im sure our paths have crossed at some point as I am there every day. During busy lunch and dinner hours I am usually in the kitchen cooking. Thanks for your patronage at the restaurant!!!
