Niger trigger with popeye
Hi , im in need of help, my Niger triggerfish has been inside a hole in live rock for more then a week and has not eaten anything for more then a week he came out of his hole this morning with both eyes bulging out his eyes arent grey but have their normal coloration but he is blind to both eyes so I went to a local fish store and bought penacillin antibiotic tablets i put him into a isolation tank and put the dosage needed , he is moving around but cannot see and is very hungry, is their a chance he will regain his eyesight with treatment in a few days or is their no chance , thank you

What happened to the Trigger?
Can you give an update on what ever happened to the Trigger? Did it go away? Could he see?
I have a blue throat and I am convinced he is blind. He stays in the rock during the day and he will come out at night to swim but when he does he constantly runs into walls and coral Etc.. Also, I feed him, he does not come out when the other fish are eating...but he used to when I first got him 8 months ago. Looking for advice on what I should do? Am I prolonging the inevitable? Many thanks! |
