My fuge light.
I purchased a 180g complete system from an individual. The setup had an aqua medic 150w MH unit over the fuge! I've had the system running for two months and I just feel like this is mega overkill for growing chaeto.
Also I'm thinking its not the most energy efficient way to light the fuge either. Thoughts on a replacement? |

I grow cheto like crazy with a 25w power compact macroglo. I think jbj makes them

I used an Orphek PR-7 rated at 20w on a 40g fuge with great success. More expensive than standard flood or PC bulbs but there is no heat and last forever. Fuge looked good and so did the power bill.

I used a small spiral fluorescent bulb 13 watts and I think 6700 k and it grows pretty fast
