T5 lighting
Hi, I'm looking into starting up a 75G FOWLR that I would like to someday add coral to. my question today has to do with T5 lighting, I'm running on a budget so I'm looking for something to startout with and upgrade as my needs demand.

I would start with a 2x54w T5, when you decide you want to try out corals you can always add more 2x54w units. Or, I would recommend just selling it and buying a quality 6x54w unit once it is time to upgrade.

I would save up for a light that will support what you want.
A 6x54w T5HO is what you want if you want to grow anything. A 4x54w will grow most corals but you won't get the width to really cover the tank (front to back) with coral, not enough coverage. |
