Deep Sea Aquatic 225 and 135 PRO questions.
I'm upgrading my aging 90ga while moving it to the cellar so we can gut and redo the kitchen that the 90 is in.
Deep Sea Aquatics doesn't seem to have much on their website and my LFS refers to the manufacturer (LOL). Anyone have or seen these tanks lately? So far I've found out: 225 Pro: 72.5" x 27.5 x 27.5h with I believe central back overflow with holes cut for three 1" drains and two 3/4" returns? 135 Pro: 48.5" x 24.5 x 27.5h with four holes drilled in the bottom for the overflow though I am not sure if they are three drains and 1 return, or two and two. Not sure of the sizes or position in the tank (center or two corners). I'm guessing they are both 1/2" glass and not sure of the actual dimensions of the overflow boxes? The setup will be a two-tank "L" and will make almost a "U" with a 7' bar I built out of commercial fire doors and a 6-tap tower for my homebrews. Can anyone help me fill in that info on the tanks? The depth and heights will work well with the limits in my cellar. Thanks! G.

I have the 200 which 72 x 24 x 27, pro version. It's a centered back overflow, 3 x 1" and 2 x .75" holes. The overflow is 18" x 6".

I cant remember the gallons off top of my head, but you should get that 72 x 27 x 21" tall tank that they make.

Looks like DSA has changed their standard sizes since I bought my tank... I have their 185 (60hx30wx24h)... If I were buying right now I'd go for their 175, but I prefer a wider tank and my little Hawaiian arms can't reach very deep...
http://www.deepseaaquatics.net/index...-standard.html If your LFS is ordering direct from them, or if you're not in a rush I would call DSA directly... They're super to work with and can do some customization without much additional cost. Hope this helps!

I just ordered my DSA 135g Pro with a Starphire front glass. ETA (they say) is any thing from 2-8 weeks. I'm not sure on the drains, and can't seem to find any thing. For the 135g I thought it was 2x 1" Drains and 2x 3/4" Returns. The LFS seems to tell me it's 2x 1 1/4" Drain and 2x 1" Returns... When " I " called DSA, they didn't seem too willing to discuss specs, basically telling me I HAD to contact a local dealer.

I pickup my DSA 190 Pro tomorrow. It's 60"X27"X27" from looking at them in the store they looked great and the quality on them seemed really good that is why I went with them. When I called them richavinger I had nothing but great things from them. I was wanting to know the size of the overflow for it and how far apart the holes were drilled. They gave me all of the answers I was looking for with no problems. If you really want to know certain things ask for the engineer and he can tell you everything

If you like the quality of the old DSA, call Planet Aquariums, the people who built DSA's reputation are there now.
