Live Rock question

I have rock sitting in two 55 gal brute containers ready for my 120 set up.
It's been sitting in there for a couple months. I also have rock in my 110 set up that I have planned to use in my 120 as well.
I have done no water changes in these containers.
My question is: is this rock ok to use in my new set up?

its probably ok, but be prepared for unexpected hitchhickers that will show up along the way. many people 'cure' their lr, but i'm not actually sure what that means as i have never done it.

is the rock in standing water? or has there been movement and temp control ? if not then i suggest running a skimmer or power head in it and temp control it 76-84F.
if the rock stinks upon smelling it needs to be cured.
if its been in temp control and water flow then just do a smell test to make sure its ready.

One o the barrels is in standing water at the moment. I haven't checked temp in any of the containers or tank buy will and will respond with readings.
As far as smell, what should it not smell like? Lol

I have only done uncured live rock once, directly from the ocean in Florida. What a mess. All the stuff that dies in shipping, or won't survive in a tank, makes for a uber smelly tank and really active skimmer. Far better of buying cured rock IMO.

Without water movement and frequent water changes the rock takes longer to cure, a lot longer.
