10 g tank power head for mushroom corals

I have a 10 g tank and plan in getting mushroom corals and possibly an sea aenome. I am going to buy a powehead/ water pump for it. How many gph should it be for mushroom corals? My lfs said I need 100 gph. Is it true ?

Hmmm ok for softies and mushrooms but general rule is for sps 40X and LPS 25X. You can really never have to much flow you dont want any dead spots in your tank. You could probably get away with 20X and be fine so that being said 200 GPH would be the lowest i would go. I would get 1 100gph on each side of the tank.

But it says mushroom corals like low water flow

that is low water flow when compared to other corals such as sps which 40X is really the min. Anything below 20 is more for a FOWLR, and when you think about it we can never get close to the flow these guys are getting in the ocean. Anyways 20-35X is fine for LPS and softies.

Should I get 1 200gph+ pump or 2 100gph pumps?(200 is cheaper)

2 100 would be better IMO. Put one on either side of the tank and make the flows collide so you get a more random flow. But the 1 200 would work.
