Adding tangs last?

Hey guys. 5 weeks ago, I dealt with brook and have since kept my 240 gallon wide tank fishless. It will go another week until I introduce my one green chromis and 2 clownfish back into it (the only ones that survived). I am looking at a few more fish to add (for a while), and was curious to know if tangs had to be added last to tanks this size. I was looking at getting a Desjardini tang and a Naso, with a diamond watchman goby to help with the sand. The tank has been running for 4 months. Thanks!

Matt

Ive never delt with those tangs before but i never had a problem adding tangs to start with, i could just have gotten lucky also as i hear some tangs should be added last

Not necessarily, they can be aggressive at times, but typically only toward other tangs. Both the tangs you listed are about in the middle of the road as to hardiness, and I think can be added at any time you feel ready for them.

Not familiar with a 240 wide, but if your tank is not at least 6ft. long you may have issues with them getting to big for the tank.

How much deeper would the ocean be if it didn't have sponges?

It is six feet long. Just 30 inches wide and 25 tall. The input is really helpful! Also, would six weeks fishless be long enough to rid the tank of the brook? Thanks!

If you're planning those 2 tangs only, then add the desjardini last. The naso is more peaceful in my experience....but as someone mentioned, both tangs should be safe to add anytime.
