Odyssea Quad T5
Hey Lighting Junkies!
I know I know I know all about the Odyssea brand and the torch they have lit in peoples houses. Mine works perfectly fine with minimal heat, barely any at all and I do keep a lot of corals in my tank (16 I believe). SPS, LPS, Softies ect. that are growing and loving life. Thing is I want to make sure I have all the light I can get out of this monster of a fixture. It is a 48" T5HO Quad with 8 Lunar LEDs, 3 cooling fans, and built in timer. So with that out of the way, I want to add individual reflectors to the fixture. A local RCer is helping me out but I wanted to see if there were any other options besides the AquaticLife and LET versions and if not, out of the 2 which one is better and how difficult at we talking here? The description says they "clip" onto the bulb...but I'm confused about how this is supposed to work when the bulb has to clip onto the fixture. Would we have to remove the old reflector and then install the new ones? If so that wouldn't be that bad assuming no electrical wires run where we would have to drill new holes am I right? This will be done before I order my new ATI 3xBlue Plus bulbs and my 1 Coral Plus bulb. I don't want to toss money on bulbs and waste the time expectancy waiting to install the new reflectors. Thanks!
