Sealing PVC pipe?

Hey guys,

Im looking to build my first sump with PVC piping running from top tank to bottom. My question for you all is how do you guys seal the pipe connections? What is reef safe?

Thanks!

Regular PVC cement is good to go. Anything that says its good for potable water.
