Post 36 bow-front in wall project

Approximately at 9:30 pm Thursday August 14, 2013 this project began.
Will edit blog appropriately as this continues.

After many months (6-18) of reading and becoming more so comfortable with the excessive information on how to create a proper environment for saltwater inhabitants of any variety, the time to take the plunge has arrived.

Photographs will follow shortly, will post at the minimum of once weekly as to maximize progress on project.

Only 18 moths of reading? Slacker.

Good luck with it...use us for questions too since every setup is unique. I spent well over a year designing my 240g layout (basement sump room) and that's after 10+ years of running other reef tanks. I'd say I got within about 70% of my plan...had a few hiccups along the way. I still haven't even finished the stand and hood (covering it that is...the tank's been up for quite a while now "unfinished").

Current Tank Info: Current system is 8x2x2 240g peninsula setup with a single "chamber" 100g sump in the basement with an RDSB. All corals are 100% home grown from frags of fellow reefers (low natural reef impact).

I suppose that was a lie, I've been continuously reading/studying for well over 4 years. The details/methods within this hobby are insanely broad. There is a small collection of basic proven methods, that is rather interesting to me.
The last 18 months while I've had a system I've been studying as to what my next move would be. I have been pulled in many different directions by "this" information and "that" information. It's taken quite a while to sift through the intricacies of each system, movement and study/belief that people build their own reef on.
I feel comfortable in taking what I feel is a well educated step into successful reefing, not "I've had my system for 2 years and no problems yet, " silliness.
I'm sure you have as well seen many reefs crash after 2, 5 and even 7+ years.

Thank you for the invitation to ask questions, I'm sure I will have hundreds.
Before I even started on this project I've already ran into "hiccups," I'm now working on building a curve onto the wall so as to make the wall smooth with the face of the tank.
I completely understanding making plans and them not working out 100%
Will you provide a link to the project you speak of? If possible I would like to view it.

I have so many dreams of what will become of my own personal venture into this hobby, but I'll spare you the mental drama until a later time. I'm sure you have more interesting things to partake in.

Do you think you'll get serious and complete the unfinished project this year?

Thank you for wishing me luck, I'm sure I'll need everything I can get whilst I go through this experience.

I don't have a link to any blog or thread that I did because I never put it up on RC or anyplace else. What I had was a google sketch-up document with some items designed down to the d*mn screw. ...no small feet in sketchup. I have some screen shots from the document here:

Here's a wireframe of the upstairs:

The whole sump room was laid out too.
