Reef Breeders Value Led Fixture

well I just got my fixture in and hung up. I have to say I am very impressed for $179 how can you go wrong . oh and on 100% man are they are bright

However.......
my wife does not like the look for the wires hanging from the ceiling and to be honest neither do I. so I guess a trip to lowes is in order to try and figure out a tank mount with some aluminum tubing or something

below are some pics please excuse the quality they are cell phone pics

Looks nice. How big is that tank? Do the wires cause a tilting of the whole fixture?

My wife doesn't want wires either so I did a diy and this was the best I could do.

I was thinking of those plant hangers too but it would still be hanging and my wife hates the wires. She likes the ones that have "legs" that attach to the sides of the tank. :-(

Im so disappointed that tank mounts arent made and included with these fixtures.... nobody wants these hanging from the ceiling. We dont want a god damn industrial look in our homes. Make tank mounts already. /rant

If you are going to stick with the PVC mounting, you might consider getting some rustoleum painters touch ultra 2x flat black paint or krylon fusion and painting it black. I just painted my PVC return piping and it looks great. (I have an open back to the tank with over the back return plumbing). Just a thought.

I keep hearing about electrical conduit what section at Lowes or home depot are they in?
How did you attach it to the tank/stand?
Can't tell by the picture.

Should be in the electrical section. EMT. You will need a bender to make 90's in it though.

Instead of a pipe bender you can use 90 degree elbows. They will be with the pipe.

My solution was to use the brackets from my old Tek T5 fixture. Required 4 holes to be drilled in the LED fixture and I'm very happy with it. Someone could easily come up with something similar, using the two side screws for mounting, that would bolt right up, allow height adjustment, and probably cost less than $20 to make in larger quantities.

Tell me I'm crazy, but those wires hanging from the ceiling look 100x better than that pvc rig. lol

I know you guys didn't like the hanging lines but it looks extremely better then what you have now or what is suggested. JMO. I have barely seen any tank mounts that look good with these lights. But I will chime in as I just ordered a photon32 and am planning on hanging it unless I see something better which would be nice.
