Nope. Stomatella snail. I've never had a black one in my tank though. In any case, they are great for your tank.

They are quite common hitchhikers on LR. They are absolutely great algae eaters.

it is pretty big almost an 3/4" long from head to tail so probably half inch big on it main part and my peppermints are only about an inch long. I just cannot believe I never saw this black thing its sticks out like a sore thump in my tank even against my sand.

I wish I had stomatella snails. I used to have some several years ago, but am in a different tank now. Anyone know where to buy any, or have any to sell or give?
