Hospital tank
I have had a Powder Blue Tang in my hospital tank for just over three weeks. I was originally treating the tang for flukes after noticing some common signs. I have dosed the hospital tank with three rounds of Prazipro over the last three weeks. Today I noticed two small raised spots on my tang. I'm contemplating treating the tank with Cupramine. I tested the water today and discovered that I have a high level of ammonia. I have been doing water changes frequently using water from my DT. I have a HOB filter with filter floss. My question is how often should I change out the filter floss cartridge? Should I use a new floss cartridge? I want to lower my ammonia level. Should I continue to use water from my DT. The water in my DT tank contains o ammonia. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I would get some Amquel or something similar into the hospital tank ASAP to convert the ammonia into a non-toxic form. It will still register on your test, but not be burning the gills.
The floss should be changed whenever it is visibly dirty at all...
