Magic Eraser Extra Power
Would these be ok to use on my acrylic in a reef tank? I know there are some that are and some that aren't.

If it says on the package "mold/mildew" resistant then don't use it.

I dont know that I would use them at all. Those things breakdown into a fine dust that I wouldnt want in y water even if the material is inert. They do work great for cleaning skimmers that can be rinsed though.

I use the original magic eraser when i clean my acrylic tank. Have used it for years with no issues. Make sure it's the plain one with no chemicals.

That's what I'm trying to figure out with this one. It says that it's 50% stronger than the original and that's it. We tried something at work with them and it didn't work out. If they won't work I'm just going to throw them away.

Just use original only. I think extra power has soap in it. Do a search on magic eraser and you'll see that they are reef safe and quite popular on here.

Thanks for the input guys. I think I'm just gonna spend the $3 and leave these alone.

I use these things for my tank even though it is glass. It seems to remove algae and coralline growing on the glass pretty easily. Although I try and hit the coralline when I see it so it doesn't get out of hand.
I'm just afraid of using anything containing chemicals anywhere near my tank. |
