Last minute tips?
Tomorrow is the day. We're taking the 180 down and moving it.
Quarantine/temp tank set up for the few inhabitants that are coming with us. Same set up but not as elaborate for the few pieces of coral/mushrooms/toadstools that we are going to keep. They will stay in "their" water with circulation until the tank is up and running. 4 5 gallon buckets (only 1 lid...) 8 67 quart containers with lids. Roughly 130-150 pounds of rock left in the tank. Some went to see their new tank. Probably 3 inches of sand in the bottom. We will cut this back when we do the tank but we're moving it all and will seed our tank with it. Anything we're missing? Thanks for any input. Our world changes tomorrow! |

Assuming the 180 has been setup awhile; don't stir up the old sand too much until everything else is out. And then toss it. Replace with new dry sand. Or at least clean it out thoroughly before reusing it. Just my 2 cents.
