I think $12lb. is a too pricey. It has to come out of the water eventually I would think.

Yeah, I didn't think about that. I'm not sure if that's an issue or not. The rock looked healthy, I'm not sure if their would be any resemblance or not. They also had rock from the Pacific...but didn't know where at in the Pacific lol.

$12/lb is too much IMO.
that's roughly what i paid for mine, and i was quite upset when i found the same "rock" (the reefsaver fake rock) elsewhere for literally half the price. i should have shopped around, but oh well. live and learn. if i found a uniquely shaped piece of rock that i just couldn't live without, then i might pay $12/lb for it, but to furnish an entire tank at that price is way too much when compared with other prices.

Seems way high to me.... My local store just had a sale for $2/lb, which is extremely cheap. Look into getting some dry rock from BRS or Marco and they get a little live rock from a trusted source to seed it.

Okay, Thanks everyone! I appreciate the quick responses. I bought 30 lbs of Fiji live rock already cured for 6.99 per pound. I just thought maybe the Gulf of Mexico rock was a better grade of rock or something. That's why I wanted to ask you long time reefers.

Hey, if you feel like paying $12/pound, you can have all of mine! Happy to drive it to you, but would have to also charge $12/mile. Is RIDICULOUS!
