Will a Birdsnest frag swaying in current be ok
I found a hole to stick it into on a large rock high up for better lighting. If super glued the hermits eventually tear it off and think their Darth Vader using a green lightsaber! So will it hurt this frag to just leave it wedged in a tight hole that occasionally sways back and forth a bit?

It'll kill of the tissue rubbing back and forth on the rock. May cause too much stress and the coral may suffer STN.

Also, I think that the frag would just keep trying to encrust, instead of growing up and out?

How do parts of any SPS grow when their branches over shadow them? They can't get totally consumed by light unless the fixture is slowly moving.
