Mushroom giving out a black filament

A new mushroom I just bought was emitting a long blackish filament. I do not recall seeing such a thing in the past.. Is this normal and is it just waste or something else.. Thanks for any input...

It's probably just poop, but sometimes too much light will cause a coral to expel some zooxanthellae.

Thanks Cloak, I may have too much light on this mushroom. Maybe zooxanthellae. I need to move into area with less light!! and see Thanks again
