For the same price, I've heard great things about the ReefBreeders value LED. They are very similar (and may even share components), but with the RB you'll get customer support and a warranty.

zachfishman, i have read mixed reviews about led's and coral growth and color due to the way the led's "spread' their light compared to t5's or haolgens. personally, i like the idea of led's. think i could go with the rb value led and get good results?

I recently got the reef breeders photon 48 and I am extremely satisfied. I switched from 4 bulb T5s. If you have questions about their products you can post in the sponsor part of the forum

Lots of positive experiences with RB fixtures in these forums. My next reef might be a standard 180g (6'x2'x2'), in which case I will be using 3xReefBreeders value LED fixtures if that tells you anything.

I recently ordered some full spectrum lights from Reef Radiance. Haven't received them yet but price and warranty got my attention. Responded to my emails so I like that.

I think that I'll gona try a led like rb if doesn't work like I wish I'll change to good old t5.
one thing I don't like in some of this led fixtures is that they put 6, 5k white and greens and reds to me only whites a blues and some uv the rest of the colour is pure rubbish, full spectrum in led is a myth.

I've got a Reef Breeders photon and couldn't be happier. You just set the schedule and leave it. No plug in timers to fool with (and one less thing for me to worry about). For the money it's a great light.

I've met a guy with the RB value leds over his 36" long tank and he was growing sps in it, he loved the light and the growth he got from it, has had it in his tank for 2 years.
