should I not feed my emerald crab colurpa
I have lots of colurpa in a holding tank. I wonder if its a bad idea to feed some to my emerald in my display where he has eaten all other greens? He has turned white and figure its diet related. I believe the DT is low on nutrients because I have a sump with cheato so am I right to assume uneaten colurpa won't grow wild?

Nope, uneaten caulerpa WILL likely grow wild in your tank.

Agreed. I definitely would not put caulerpa in your tank, unless you want a caulerpa filled tank. If you're worried about the crab getting enough to eat, I'd recommend just buying some dried nori and feeding him that. Emerald crabs are omnivorous scavengers/grazers. They'll eat just about anything that can reasonably be considered food.
