Painting the room the tank is in?
I need to paint the room the tank is in.
I'm using acrylic latex paint. Is this going to be a problem for the tank? |

Not usually any issue. I would cover tank, and open windows to help ventilate room. The most important thing is to turn off the skimmer, and any airpumps. A skimmer turns your tank into a bong pretty much- for lack of a better example. Once the odor of paint is gone turn skimmer back on. If you want to be extra careful, or paranoid, run fresh carbon while painting and after.

I've painted rooms many times in which had reef tanks with no problems.
I did cover the tank with a tarp, to keep paint drips off.

Do not use paint with anti fungal properties in it.

Why's that? It's in the paint itself. I don't see how that's going to harm the tank as long as you keep it covered.
