Age old questions?

55 gallon w/hang on refuge and skimmer.

I plan on having some kinda plant or algae in the refuge with some Copepods. If you know of a good plant to put in there please let me know.

The whole point of a DSB is to remove nitrates right? Isn't that what my setup is doing? I obviously won't have room in the Hangon to do a DSB there.

I'm trying to have the most natural ecosystem possible. I plan to do corals and about 4 fish. I'm just scared of the repercussions of a DSB if I screw up.

I've seen that before. I was going to try to figure out how the hell to say it then go to the fish store and ask. My south jawja accent kills me sometimes.
