1. My eshopps drain hose is to long its 3ft...eshopps sells a 2ft hose but thats stll a lil long..does bend in the hose effect performance? Solutions please?
2. Do i need a check valve on return hose? Already have ball valve to control flow

No problems bending flex hose. Stay away from 90 degree bends in rigid pipe. Just cut the 3 ft. hose to fit, right? Check valves are fine, but you will set yourself up for a flood if you rely solely on them and not take into account the max amount of water your sump can hold. Set the depth of your return pipes to an acceptable depth in the display so not to cause a flood when the return is turned off. Alternatively, you can just drill a hole near the surface of the water level in the display to break the siphon.
