anyone use these as lighting? i have 2 2xbulb 4' fixtures, i bought 2 actinic, 1 coral plus and one purple plus, is this okay? or should I get one more purple plus/coral plus and switch it out with one of the true actinic.

Ati bulbs are the best when you say actinic do mean blue+ or there true actinic if you mean blue+ your combo is optimal a lot of people run that combo

You need more blue lighting. The actinic bulbs provide plenty of violet but you're missing a lot of blue. If it were me, I'd get 2 blue plus and then mix what you like. 2 blue, 1 actinic and 1 coral plus would look good.

ATI bulbs have an incredible output. I have all ATI bulbs in my ATI 6 bulb fixture.. and compared to an older fixture I had with the bulbs it came with... the difference is insane.

Buy 2 blue plus and then find what you like.

I'd go with 2 blue, 1 actinic and the coral plus if it were me.

As long as you don't have anything with high light requirements, you should be okay for a little bit.

im running two 10,000k and two actinic right now, and its been 6 months that's why I bought more lights to give it an enhanced look, but what I have in the tank are various zoa, a plate coral which was doing fine till 1 month ago, which I started losing my open brain and my other brain, my leather coral, my frogspawn and hammer, a hitchhiker mushroom, a hitchhiker fungia plate coral, my gsp and gcp and two birdnests, birdnests have been growing like crazy, I just cant seem to keep the brains alive, I had some phosphates which I dealt with which are back down now to zero, my nitrates are > 30ppm which I have been doing water changes and reduced feeding, but I should be fine with those?
