any automatic feeders that DONT FEED EVERYDAY??

The title says it all. I want my fish to be fed every 2 or 3 days, not every day when I take vacations.

If you have an Apex, they have a new feeder coming out that is completely controllable. Other than that, most feeders as you have noticed are designed for daily feedings. With some of them you can adjust the amount dispensed so you could always feed daily but feed less each time.

I've never seen anything for frozen food feeding unfortunately.

Here's something that you can use if don't want every day feeding.

http://www.amazon.com/Fish-Mate-F14-.../dp/B000YK5W18

Just skip some of the feeding spaces.

I'm waiting for the apex version but wondering if it's even worth it since I don't feed dry food often and rarely leave tank unattended for more than a long weekend.

That will not work. The dial in the center is a 24 hour dial as this is a daily feeder. If you remove one of the feeding pins show in the image, it will feed once per day as opposed to two times a day the way it is shown in your link.

You can skip days with that, leave some of the spaces empty. Source: I own two.

Haven't really thought it out, but if you had an electric (not battery) feeder, plugged into a timer that was only on 12 hrs per day, wouldn't the feeder only come on every 2 days?
