Calcium Reactor 2d chamber media change?

Calicum Reactor 2d chamber media.

I Have had the SRO 5000 Calcium Reactor up and running for almost two years now and the 2nd chamber has about 20lbs of course media that is about 2 years old. Is it recommended to change this media. Not necessarily from a performance standpoint but from a who knows what has been growing in it for 2 years standpoint eg bacteria, pathogens etc.

I get periodic SPS base STN and this is only one of the things in the system that has not been changed or refreshed.

Thanks
