Coral 1-Gonipora 1-White pom xenia a few zoas and some gsp that opens when it wants and some other green poll's that idk what r they just grew outta my rock maybe some can identify those. So here area few pics and looking forward to hearing from some of you guys with a little more knowledge then me. My goal is to move forward with coral in this tank and would like to 1 day have it be sps dominate i know i am a long way from that but maybe could get a little direction in some future steps in moving forward I know lighting is the biggest one and plan to purchase 2 echotech radions after christmas. http://i1313.photobucket.com/albums/...3648_zps073734 d7.jpg http://i1313.photobucket.com/albums/...ps0ca05335.jpg http://i1313.photobucket.com/albums/...pse09b1e92.jpg http://i1313.photobucket.com/albums/...ps99e1d106.jpg Cheers |

Your tank looks pretty good. The only thing I really see is some brown algae/ diatoms on the sandbed. This is common enough, but a good idea to keep it in check.
If your planning on sps dominate I would e careful with the gsp/ gonipora. Isolating them is a good idea. Sps will clash/ get stung. Radions would be appropriate lighting. You'll also need some better flow. After that with care/husbandry should allow you to care for sps. Additional equipment could help, but not a requirement (compared to light/flow). You'll most likely find yourself needing to supplement more. 2-part really helps. As your tank contains more sps, you may find dosing pumps/ calcium reactor very useful. My other concern would be nutrient management. Your perams look good, so I wouldn't really say its a must. Looking at your equipment list however you may be better served with a larger sump/ losing the hob. You'll be able to hide more equipment/accommodate larger refugium.

not really sure how to get those diatoms to go away maybe they will in time i hvae no other algae that i would cosider bad phos is low dont really understnad them
what would be a good recomendation as far as flow for resonable money im not sure if you were refering to in tank or total tank turnover? Mp40"s r nice but so is the pricetag....lol As for the sump I plan to upgrade that and build a new sump with fuge and skimmer chamber kinda budget restricted at the moment. As this would call for a new return pump as well to get flow rate up around 12-1500 give or take |

I am not the Tang police, so please don't take this the wrong way. I had a Moorish Idol in my 150, but even though it was and still is my favorite fish, I had to give it away because it just grew too big too fast for a 150. He or she would easily go from one end of the tank to the other with just a tail flick, and it was obvious that the fish needed more swimming space, so please consider this as you are lucky like me to have one that is eating and thriving which is rare for this species.
