Red face Is this live rock ?

This rock was given to me as live rock with benefecial bacteria and corraline algae starter. But I think it is not corraline algae. Is it ? Is it a good rock or bad rock with red algae ? should go into into a new system undergoing cycling or shouldn't go in ?

If it came out of a running sw setup then it is live and you can add it anytime to you tank. Just keep it covered in sw with a heater and powerhead or airstone.

Yep, that's live rock! Go ahead and put it in. Is the red stuff slimy or does it brush off easily? If so it's probably not corraline.

@rilelen the red does not brush off easily.... it's hardly stuck to the rock, and it's not slimy... it looks slimy but when you touch it is just a little smooth not slimy.
what is it ? should put it in my tank ?

Does anyone notice that rock in the picture has a head with eyes, nose & mouth on it?
