TLF phosban 150

I had this for my 75 gallon and i upgraded to my 180 gallon so i bought a TLF phosban 550. so heres my question can i use my old tlf 150 as a carbon reactor instead of buying one?

has anyone done this?

I haven't done it but you can certainly use it for carbon.
