Exclamation Didn't Aclimate Fish :headwally:

Hello people of reef central! I seek you assistance please!

So my order just came in for 2 regular clowns and a emperor angel. Sadly the clowns have passed. Anyway middle of August, my father had purchased 300$ worth of fish ended up killing the new fish he bought WITH my Queen Angel (Changing) My 7 inch purple tang and my blacker ice clown All worth 1,000$+ thrown to the garbage (In my defense i wasn't there i was on vacation and he wanted to do a surprise)

ANYWAY my order came in and my Emp. Angle was barely alive. My immediate response was to just put him in the tank. As of now, the cold 4 inch bag he was in was dead to me. And now he's swimming and being the happy fish i want him to be. Every thing is at 0ppm pH is 8.2 and my salinity is around 1.021-1.023.

My question is... Will he be healthy? And he's swimming and seem sot be doing fine and isn't breathing heavily and now he's just going up and down the side of the tank.

THANKS!!

You will know in a few hours. Even a 5 minute temp acclimation can do wonders compared to just dropping them in. Hope it works out!

Its hard to see that and not want to jump to action of correcting the issues immediately. You probably did the best possible thing at the time. I hope it lives long and prospers (can fish prosper...i think so)

Try selcon or garlic soak to stimulate its appetite.

Try small pieces of fresh raw scallop. And other fresh seafood. Search the Reef Fishes forum. It may like New Life Spectrum pellets as well. Just remove uneaten food after an hr or it will kill it.
