Contamination?
I was picking up more water to fill up my 125 gallon.. and come back home to the whole room smelling like nail polish.. my father was helping building the PVC plumbing for my 125 gallon.. and was glueing the pieces together with what he calls "regular PVC glue..", and he did it in the same room as the tank.. there was not even an open window or aircleaner on in the room.. infact my right eye actually burns that's how strong the odor was.
There is no hood, the tank was half-way filled up with live sand, and saltwater. Is it possible the vapors from the air could've gotten in the water contaminating the aquarium or no?

I wouldn't worry about the water. I would open a window if you can.

This will not be a problem what so ever. Many times when adding or changing out equipment I have used the pcv cleaner and glue in close proximity of my aquariums.

The VOCs in the glue are not very soluble in water so there is little to no chance of any of them getting into the water so you should be safe.

+1 - more worried about you and your dad than the tank. You still have to cycle the tank anyway, so any trace amounts of VOCs that may be present will evaporate off in that time.
