new creature in my tank

OK my son spots a worm walking across my tank looked like a tube worms shellbut its body is black and white looked eel like. It was digging in the sand and coin back into its body which is all white weirdest thing I've seen yet I'll get a picture soon I hope unless some one names it I can't find a picture online to ID.
