New Tank-Help with Fiji Live Rock

Tank Specs:
55 gal Marineland Bio-Wheel Aquarium
100 Watt Tetra Heater
Penguin 350 Bio-Wheel Filter

Water Parameters:
PH: 8.0
Anom: 0
Nitrate: 5.0
Calcium: 420 mg/L
KH: 214.8
Phos: .5

Hi new to forums. I have 45 pounds of Fiji Live Rock, that i purchased from liveaquaria.com, and i did the out of tank curing process for about 3 weeks until my tank showed up and then moved them into the tank once set up. The tank has been set up since October, i believe, and have added five snails, which two of them have died due to unknown causes, a cleaner shrimp and my two columbian sharks, silver tipped sharks- they go by several names i hear, that were in my freshwater tank previously.
My problem is that i have had more then several white, frosted spots all over my live rock and i am clueless to the cause of it and curious as to what is happening. So any explanation for that would be greatly appreciated.
My next question is i have two LED fixtures and was wondering if that is sufficient amount of lighting for my live rock and coral/anemone, when the tank matures enough to get them in my tank.
Thank you.
For some reason its not allowing me to upload other pictures for you guys to view. So if there is another way that you guys know of that will allow me to upload it let me know.

It's very possible that the white spots are dying coraline algae. It will grow back quickly when your tank is established. Hard to tell without better pics though.

Welcome, I hope you find this place a plethora of information as I have. As a fellow marineland tank owner I found the hood lights to be a bit lacking. I got a hammer coral and it wouldn't expand out much, I thought it was dyeing. I bought a marineland reef ready light while on sale a while back, couldn't pass up the savings, so I decided to give it a test. In 10 min of having it in the hammer about doubled in size. Even my clowns seem to enjoy it.

The snails dieing could be any number of things from bad acclimation to starvation if the tank it to clean. Can you give any details about the snails?

As for the pics I think there is an upload limit for each post, and I think it goes up over time, could be wrong.

Yea i dont understand why i cant post the pictures i have, i know its not at a limit because i have plenty of green on the bar left. And sorry for my ignorance but by established you would mean?

Drakon, I believe the snails deaths are connected to starvation because when i first put them in they were thriving and going all other the rock and now it looks like the rock is clean, replaced by those white spots, they started dying off one by one. They are mexican turbo snails, i believe that is the name.
