RO/DI problem
I have a Coralife RO/ DI unit I was given, 5 stage. I have had it running for the past 4 days. I finally did some calculations. In 12 hrs I have on ly got 10 gallons. Any ideas? I do not have a pressure valve on the unit, but know that I need to get one as well. I did a TS test on the water and it reads 1. Thoughts??

whats your water pressure like? With low water pressure, some like under 40psig RODI are not as efficient and it takes longer. The solution is a rodi booster pump.
Was the unit used? There may be some blockage. A TDS reading of 1 isn't really that bad, but after a few gallons I would expect a brand new rodi to read 0, unless the meter is out of calibration.

My BRS 5 stage RO/DI recommends at least 50 PSI running through the system to get the maximum efficiency.
If you have low water pressure, in some houses you can turn up your pressure to the entire house at the main... instead of buying a booster pump. But if not, you might have to spring for the pump. |

Have you changed the filters before the RO membrane?
When they start to go bad output drops drastically..
