Tunez Osmolator - Float Sensor Nut

Just curious, for those that have the Tunez Osmolator - the white float sensor that acts as an overfill shutoff - the directions show a white plastic nut to help secure it to the mounting bracket on the magnet. Is your nut whole and came predone over the sensor cable, or is it more like a C clip nut that slides over the cable and then screws on the bottom of the sensor.

I finally got around to installing my unit today and I do not have that nut. I'm trying to figure out if I lost it somehow or if it was never put in place over the cable from the factory. It's not a big deal, I have the float secured to the bracket without the nut, but I'm curious.

Thanks,
Joe

It secures the white float sensor to the mounting bracket. Without it the float sensor won't stay in place. The grey wire threads through it so it should be attached some how unless someone cut it off or the factory screwed up and didn't attach it in the first place.

Curious to see how you mounted the sensor w/o it.

Ah ok, so it sounds like I didn't lose it, it wasn't put over the wire at the factory. Nothing fancy, I put the sensor in the bracket and with the cable tugging to one side, it's lodged in there decently. When I turn the filtration pump off and the water level rises, it stays in place overall, the float rises, and the controller sounds the alarm like it should. I'll call Tunez next week to see if anything can be done. Otherwise, I can secure it with a small dab of glue.

Thanks,
Joe
