48" Aqueon LED Lighting question
I have a 48" Aqueon LED (2 color max, 1 day white) and am wondering what corals can this set up support? I know its not much. Someone, who works at the local petsmart, told me they had to use 3 of the fixtures in there setup. idk if it was the 48" one. I do currently have green algae growing but that is easy to grow right? I think it might be coralline algae. How can I tell?

Personally, if you are going to keep any corals, take the light back and get a T5 HO off craigslist. Those lights are not meant for coral at all. Sorry if this is not the answer you were looking for.

I got my tank off craigslist and it came with a one bulb T8 fixture that has a 8,000k bulb in it right now. What about that?

You could possible switch that out with a t8 50/50 and do some softies. Leathers and mushrooms.

Take the 200 dollar light back and get two 48 inch t5 ballasts, get a 12k bulb and a 460 actinic, problem solved then in the future maybe add 2 more ballasts both with the same set up as the first two!

the light was ~$99 with 1 day white each additional light was 27.74 so the total was $154.48. Damit I threw away the box... I have been reading about the DIY GU10 fixtures.
