Whats the Best Carbon

Whats the best carbon to use in a GFO /Carbon reactor..I have a 2 stage BRS reactor that will keep the GFO and carbon separate..As there are various carbon types and sizes..Which size and type of carbon is best to used in a reactor for optimum results..Thanks

I use BRS lignite. Its cheap and effective.

I changed mine out monthly, but stopped using it regularly. Available space and an algae issue meant that I gave up carbon for biopellets.

I left the reactor on 24/7. You don't want to allow it to go anaerobic, which can result in hydrogen sulfide forming.

ROX from BRS is worth the price over lignite IMO.

I use Bulk Reef Supply ROX. Good carbon.
