My corals are STN'ing, what is the cause of it?
I clipped them as I saw the STN start to happen yesterday. I hope that they are going to live. However, what can I do to prevent this and why is this happening?
I changed my lighting to a much brighter light and have been trying to keep the corals from bleaching. I have since turned down the lights even more and then it started to STN. Could it be lights and could it also be water parameters? Any help would be great. I want to keep my corals healthy.

Yes and yes. I would use some type of coral dip after you cut off the stn.
