Green algae

Im starting to get green algea on my rocks and sand and its very ugly. Is this a cycling process.. tank is month old woth 2 clowns and 6 snails

Yes, it's a normal part of the cycling process.

It'll get much worse until it gets better. Could be like that for a year it depends on water quality and husbandry.

i never got any of that at all! just diatoms, and a little bit of green algae. one 20% water change and gone. now im getting green corraline. i never knew there WAS green corralline.

its likely living off nitrates and phos. are you using RODI water?

Im using rodi water. Could be the leeching phosphates from the brs pukani rock
