I made my wier rhe entire length of the tank, which is a 60 cube, by 4 inches wide, and 4 inches deep.

Is your weir silent? Anyone else have a weir that is say 12" or whatever wide and can give input to it's noise level?

Yes, it is very silent. I am using it in conjunction with the Bean Animal overflow as well. The key to the BA is a gate valve, not a ball valve.
