Lighting 90 gallon
2 Halide 150w 20k and 4 t5 bulbs good enough for coral growth?

would the t5s be actinic? that may be too much blue. bump the halide wattage to 250w each and reduce the kelvin to 12 or 14k

That should be enough to grow anything as long as you're using good reflectors. If I could make a recommendation go with the Phoenix 14k bulbs. They are very blue and have more output then most 20k bulbs. For T5HO bulbs check out ATI's line.
I like a lot of blue so 2 Coral Plus bulbs and 2 True Actinic bulbs would give that affect. But like I said I like a lot of blue. http://www.atinorthamerica.com/bulbs.php |

the halides are suppose to be blue, they have a light tinting of blue on them while the t5s are all actinic, I have a blotched anthias so the white I get from the halides is welcomed due to blue washing out that fishes true colors.
