Clear or Black Silicone? I can't decide......

I am getting ready to buy an Aqueon 210 and I can't decide whether to get it with the standard clear silicone or to special order it with black silicone. Their is $140 difference from Aqueon, but not overly concerned with that.

I like the black I think and I think it would definitely hide algae build up over the years better I would think...

What is everyone's opinion and if you have a tank with black silicone I would love to see a picture of it.

Black. The clear is nice for about a year. The black is also easier to see when you are scraping coraline up close.

I would definitely say the black! Although I just bought one with clear I didn't have a choice otherwise I would have went the other route.

You can order it on Amazon. All glass makes it. If you look at the package you will see the black box in the right upper corner

Marineland Perfecto RR tanks are all black silicone now. They make a 220g which is basically same thing as Aqueon 210g.

Yea black. With a painted black background, black stand with simple lines and a black canopy or light fixture. Simple, clean and modern.

Many here may not be AIO fans, but take a look at the NEW Red Sea Max 250L with black silicone. Sharp if you like a modern minimalist look.

I didn't know black was standard on those..thanks. I will have to look into that. Better chance at getting a deal on one if it's not special order.

My vote would have been for hot pink, but since you bafflingly limited the choices to black or clear I'd have to go with the former also.

Love the look of black over clear. Clear silicone will usually turn greenish over a long period of time, and black hides gunk better.
