Angel vs Coral

So my Chrysurus angel has eaten all the polyps from my tyree green toadstool and my Birdsnest corals.

Are they dead or will new polyps grow if i remove the angel and let them go untouched?

he leaves most my other corals alone because they are bigger. He ate a superman mushroom that was tiny but he wont touch the new superman thats a lot larger in size.

If all the polyps are gone, then likely all the coral flesh is gone as well and the coral is likely dead.

If you want more coral in the future, you'll have to take that angel out of there.

+1 Palting.

I mean even if the polyps did grow back the chrysurus would just eat them again.Inevitable doom basically for the coral.

Is there hope the angel won't nip once its an adult? I never had experience with larger angels.

I will likely continue the same behavior.

it wont stop.

it has tasted corals.

it might slow down if you give it more food and ... though. but will still treat itself to a tasty coral desert.

Almost certainly. Always seems to get worse rather than better.
