Cycle coral only QT tank?
Hey guys,
Setting up a quarantine tank to try to monitor and get rid of Monti eating nudibranchs... is it necessary to cycle the tank? Its just gonna have two montiporas, heater, powerhead, filter floss with an hob filter, water, and a light. Can I just throw my saltwater in there and be good to go? Or do the corals need the cycled biological filtration? |

Not just 'a' light, but light in the right spectrum. You should be good with just saltwater, bare tank.

Yes of course, a powerful enough light for the monti.
Thanks! |
