that's a really tough one to say.
i have a male mccosker's and it doesn't look exactly like him, but that doesn't roll out the possibility of that being a sub adult male. i've only seen a few pictures of the females of the species, and it doesn't appear exactly like them either. how big is it? do his fins have a hologram type effect to them when flashing?

It's about 3 inches currently. It hasn't flashed to much other than at my clowns so I can't say for sure it's holographic looks to it.

Looks like a male. Maybe not a "terminal" or "super male" but it looks male to me
