New Fish Food - New Era
Hey guys,
My LFS is about to start selling a new product line of fish food, it's called New Era (Google search "New Era Fish Food"). I got some samples yesterday of their pellets and they are super moist and seem fresh. Ive never seen pellets so fresh. Anyone heard of the brand? Anyone used it? Results? Is it a higher quality? Currently, for pellets, I feed New Life Spectrum plus garlic. I also feed frozen mysis and cyclopeeze but like to break it up with a little pellets here and there.

Its an excellent brand, wide variety of fish food to match whatever fish stock you have.
Its not locally available to me so I buy some when in Dubai as they have a distributor there. You're totally right about how fresh the product is and it stays fresh till comsumed even with the larger containers I get... I'm sure this has a positive effect on the nutritional value of the content. I use the following from their lineup is addition to NLS as well. Aegis: Pellets, haven't tried flake and I guess this is the best of their lineup. Marine pellets, marine Algae pellets, Alga flakes. Marine grazer looks very interesting but I still haven't tried it.

Also, I actually got a sample of the Marine Grazer along with the pellets. Its a neat idea with the ring and suction cup. The rings of food also seem very fresh! However, the ring is a decent size and for my 90 gallon, seems like to much food going into my tank. I'm going to stick with the Julian Springs Sea Veggies for now BUT would be perfect for a larger tank like yours that can handle the bio load! Anyone else using it with feedback?

Wouldn't really advise you to switch from NLS completely. Always good to have variety so maybe use a combination of both every day or use each on alternating days...
I feed a bit from everything I got every day in addition to frozen and supplement with some vitamins as well. will be trying the marine grazer as soon as the store gets some.
