elos osmocontroller digital problem
Does anyone use this product? I had to return first one because it didnt work. Supposedly the probe was bad. My replacement. Doesnt work either. Curious if anyone else has had issues with this product. Any suggestions on a better product in the auto top off market? Better = works.

The water has to drop all the way past the gray sensor. Then it takes some time for it to activate the pump. I forget now his long but I remember thinking it wasn't working as well & called tech support.
How did you test it? I set mine up on the kitchen counter, putting the sensor in a plastic pitcher full of water. Then put the pump in another pitcher and lastly plug in the unit. If cycles and then sits quiet for a while. Then it will begin filling rapidly, covering the gray tip of the sensor probe. It does it so quickly you may miss it if you walk out of the room for a moment. Judge it by the level drop in the reservoir. But it takes a little while but that shouldn't be a problem during normal use. It's worked flawlessly for me even though it does not have a back up float switch like the Tunze units. |

I set it up on my sump for the evening. Next morning water was half inch below the sensor. I redil with manual button. Then evaps back down past sensor. I did have to add about 30ft of usb extension on sensor since the cord is only like 5ft long. And im not setting up 60gallon tub of ro water in the living room. So far I have not a single good thing to say about this product and would recommend everyone to avoid this product brand. Sound great on paper. Doesnt work in real world application im finding out.

I would be willing to bet that the USB extension might have something to do with it. The Tunze is my choice. I played around with the JBJ, ATO.com and RKL versions before I just went ahead and dropped the $200 on the Tunze. I haven't had a problem with it once. Also, the pumps are cheap, reliable and easy to replace.
