Advantages of Marine pure instead of liverock?
Hey Guys,
Just wanted your opinion on filtration. I'm upgrading my fluval HOB filter to a custom made filter thats fits into the unit behind the tank. Im still tossing between adding live rock or Marinepure to this new filtration system. Im thinking of having either of these combinations: 1. Marinepure, polyfilter and seachem carbon 2. Live rock rubble, polyfilter and seachem carbon or 3. Liverock, denitrate, polyfilter and seachem carbon. 4. Ditch the liverock and have just denitrate, polyfilter and carbon What do you think? comments on marine pure? Also, what is the bexst way to go about transferring to this new system without shocking the tank? comments? Tank is about 3 months old. thanks for the thoughts Tank: fluval 12gal with HOB filter using fluval filter with addition of polyfilter lighting: MICMOL Aqua color mini No skimmer: will be adding hydor nano to the new filter system too. Liverock: about 6kgs Circulation: 2 powerheads for ciculation, waiting on upgrade to 2 Korolias Prams: All normal with exception of nitrates at 10ppm Livestock: 1 pinktip torch, 1 whitetip torch, 1 gold torch, duncan with new heads, colony of zoanthids, sun coral, button coral, few morphs, 2 clowns, 1 lawnmower, 1 damsel, 1 Peppermint shrimp. |

Marine Pure is basically glass, so I guess you would not have the issue of it's surface absorbing phosphate like calcium carbonate/ aragonite ones would...
